Different from type to type
As different as people are, so is their personal skin type and the associated UV sensitivity.
In the tanning salon, the skin type of the salon customer can be determined using the Cosmedico skin type poster.
Describing the properties and characteristics of each type makes this easy. This poster should not be missing in any tanning salon!
The Cosmedico skin type poster compares skin types I to IV.
The assignment to skin types V and VI does not require any query of external characteristics such as skin and eye color, as these skin types do not change their appearance in times of poor sunshine – unlike skin types I to IV.
There are basically 6 skin types.
This classification of skin types goes back to the American dermatologist Thomas Fitzpatrick in 1975. Skin types I to IV are called European skin types as they are typical of the European population. Skin type V is typical for people from Arab and North African countries, India and some other Asian regions. Skin type VI occurs in people from Central Africa and the indigenous people of Australia.
